Dear NDHS Parents, Alumni and Friends,
Each Advent we are asked to anticipate the future with the same excitement that Mary, Joseph and the Wise Men anticipated the arrival of Jesus. The attitude that the future will be better is the attitude of a believer. The Christian attitude that Jesus will return in glory gives us a greater appreciation of Advent and offers us the ultimate reason for maintaining a great attitude.
If it is possible for a school to have an attitude, then Notre Dame High School has a great attitude. NDHS finds itself on the Advent of a tremendous future in many respects:
1) Our students are on the Advent of establishing their own futures and making their own contributions to the world with hearts and minds formed at NDHS;
2) Our parents are on a continual Advent journey devoting their family and professional lives so that their children can enjoy greater opportunities to impact the world in new ways;
3) Our alumni and alumni parents departed NDHS to further their Advent paths but are ever-mindful that their paths included important experiences at NDHS that can always be referenced in times of joy and sadness;
4) Our school is always in Advent season with the omnipresent expectation of growth in all areas, such as curriculum, technology, arts, athletics, counseling, campus ministry and facilities. We can’t wait for tomorrow, next year or three years from now because we know Our Lady’s school will continue to improve in every way. The “best” will get “better!”
On behalf of a joyous and growing Notre Dame community of students, teachers and staff, please know of my prayer for all of you and your families that the spirit and attitude of Advent prevail upon you. May God bless our Notre Dame Family.
